Buy the Factory Dress Boat Neck Addition sewing pattern from Merchant & Mills. Instructions for modifying the Factory Dress to give it a boat neck and gathered skirt.

Note: This is not a complete pattern. You must already own the original Factory Dress pattern to use this addition. If you have not yet purchased the original pattern, you can do so here.

Suggested fabrics: Same as for the Factory Dress.

Additional fabric requirements: All with or without nap.

Sizes 8 - 18: 110-120 cm (43 1/2-47") wide fabric: + 0.9 m (1 yd) // 140-150 cm (55-60") wide fabric: + 1.2 m (1 1/2 yd).

Sizes 20 - 24: 110-120 cm (43 1/2-47") wide fabric: + 0.8 m (1 yd) + 2 m for 3 panel skirt // 140-150 cm (55-60") wide fabric: + 1.2 m (1 1/2 yd). 

Sizes 26 - 28: 110-120 cm (43 1/2-47") wide fabric: + 0.9 m (1 yd) + 2 m for 3 panel skirt // 140-150 cm (55-60") wide fabric: + 1.2 m (1 1/2 yd). 

Sizing: UK 8 – 28 (approx. UK 8 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's original size charts and finished garment measurements. The designer recommends making this dress a size larger than your usual size.

Notions: 0.1 m (1/4 yd) interfacing.
