Buy the Sloane Sweatshirt sewing pattern from Named. Sloane is the perfect combination of comfort and style. What we think: This sweatshirt is a wardrobe staple, and we love the statement darts. Having made this ourselves, the shape is great and the darts elevate the fit.
Suggested fabrics:
Choose a medium weight knit fabric with 30 – 50% stretch. Sweatshirt jersey, terry, teddy or even light neoprene are all good options.
For the neckline, cuffs and hem, pick a rigid knit that has good recovery and 30 – 50% stretch. A firm rib knit is ideal.
The sample was made of mesh neoprene, with cotton rib kit for the ribbings.
Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.
150 cm (60") wide fabric: 120 - 135 cm (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 120 - 200 cm (1 1/4 - 2 1/8 yd).
Sizing: EU 32 – 56 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
This pattern has been drafted for a 172 cm (5’8″) tall person.
