Pattern Scout Fern Top
Buy the Fern Top sewing pattern from Pattern Scout. Fern is a boxy top with dolman-style short sleeves, a sectioned bodice, and skirt bottom. Version A features a pleated peplum skirt and sleeve cuffs for a flared and flirty style. Version B features a straight skirt panel and uncuffed sleeves.
Note: An expansion pack (sold separately) is available for the Fern Top. Use the Fern Top Expansion Pack to make a V-neck or square neck top.

Suggested fabrics: Light- to mid-weight woven fabrics. For a more structured, boxy fit, use fabrics such as linen, chambray, poplin, and voile. For a more fluid drape and flowing fit, use fabrics such as tencel, rayon challis, and crepe de chine.
Fabric requirements:
Version A: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 1.75 - 2 yd (1.6 - 1.8 m) // 54" (150 cm) wide fabric: 1.25 - 1.5 yd (1.15 - 1.4 m).
Version B: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 1.25 - 1.75 yd (1.15 - 1.6 m) // 54" (150 cm) wide fabric: 1.25 - 1.5 yd (1.15 - 1.4 m).
Sizing: US 0 - 30 (approx. UK 6/8 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart) with optional pattern pieces for a full bust adjustment (C or D cup). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
