Buy the Laurence Top sewing pattern from Vivian Shao Chen. The Laurence Top pattern includes two options. View A is a v-neck sleeveless top. View B is a scoop-neck three-quarter sleeve top. Both have a cropped length (above the hips). If you prefer a longer top, you may increase the length by adjusting at the lines indicated on the pattern.
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:
– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?
– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Note if purchasing copy shop printing: The pattern pieces for the neckline bias binding have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.
Suggested fabrics: The Laurence Top pattern is designed for midweight wovens (5-7 oz/yd²) and lightweight wovens (3-4 oz/yd²). You may use any fibre, keeping in mind that each will produce different draping effects. The designer recommends 100% linen.
Fabric requirements: Note you may need more yardage if you are working with graphic prints and wish to pattern match.
View A: 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 1.5 yd/m // 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 yd/m.
View B: 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 2 yd/m // 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2.25 yd/m.
Sizing: US 0 – 24 (approx. UK 8 – 26, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
